DAY 01: ARRIVAL HARIDWAR /DEHRADUN – BARKOT (170Kms – 06/07 hrs. drive)

DAY 02: BARKOT – JANKICHATTI – YAMUNOTRI – BARKOT (50Kms drive & 6Kms. One way trek)

After an early breakfast proceed to Yamunotri, drive up to Jankichatti then 6 kms Trek (one way) to Yamunotri. Here pilgrims can cook rice by dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund and take it home as Prasad.

Near the Temple, Pooja can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking a holy bath in Jamunabai Kund and having Darshan of Yamunaji. Later return to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Hotel.

YAMUNOTRI: The Temple was built by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur in the 19th Century and later rebuilt after being destroyed twice. Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. It is the source of River Yamuna, originating from the Champasar Glacier about 1 km ahead of the shrine at an elevation of 3235 meters. Due to the difficult approach, pilgrims offer Pooja at the Temple. Yamunotri was also the home of Sage Asit Muni. Yamuna is the daughter of the Sun and sister of Yama. It is believed that anyone who takes a holy dip in Yamuna will not be tormented by Yama at the time of death.

SURYA KUND: A thermal hot spring near the Temple, where boiling water flows into natural pools. It is the most important hot spring in Yamunotri.

DIVYA SHILA: A sacred rock pillar that is worshiped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

DAY 03: BARKOT – UTTARKASHI (100Kms./4hrs. drive)

DAY 04: UTTARKASHI – GANGOTRI –UTTARKASHI (90Kms. /4hrs.drive one way)

After Breakfast leave early morning for Gangotri. After Pooja & Darshan at Gangotri Temple, drive back to Uttarkashi. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Uttarkashi.

GANGOTRI: Gangotri Temple is an 18th Century Temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. It is believed that River Ganga first touched Earth at this place. According to another legend, the Pandavas performed Deva Yagna here to atone the death of their kinsmen in the Mahabharata war. The Temple is about 20 ft high and built with white granite.

DAY 05: UTTARKASHI – SIRSI/GUPTKASHI (235Kms./8hrs. drive)

After Early Breakfast leave for an almost day long drive to Sirsi / Guptkashi. Reach by late evening. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Hotel.

GUPTKASHI: Located in the Northern Himalayan Belt in the Mandakini River Valley, surrounded by lush green forests. Many streams and rivulets join the Mandakini River here. The place has a pleasant climate with an elevation of about 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow-covered Chaukhamba Peak view in the morning is a beautiful sight. The valley also has large Magnolia (Champa) trees which create a sweet scented atmosphere. Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Ardh Narishwar Temple are the main attractions.

DAY 06: GUPTKASHI – SONPRAYAG PARKING – GAURIKUND – KEDARNATH (16 Kms Trek approx.)

After Early Breakfast leave by vehicle up to Sonprayag Parking to catch a Sharing Local Jeep to Gaurikund. From here start the Trek to Kedarnath (approx 16 kms). Doli / Pony options are also available on direct payment basis. Reach Kedarnath by late evening, check-in to Guest House. After Relax, do Evening Darshan at Kedarnath Temple. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Kedarnath.

KEDARNATH: The present Kedarnath Temple was built in the 8th Century A.D. by Adi Guru Shankaracharya near the site of an ancient temple built by the Pandavas. The Temple has a conical Lingam (main idol), a statue of Nandi (celestial bull), a Garbhagriha for worship and a Mandap for pilgrims and visitors. The Temple is more than 1000 years old.

DAY 07: GUPTKASHI – GAURIKUND – SONPRAYAG PARKING – SIRSI/GUPTKASHI

DAY 08: GUPTKASHI – JOSHIMATH – BADRINATH

After Breakfast leave for Badrinath. En-route visit Narsingh Temple and Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at Joshimath, then drive to Badrinath. On arrival check-in to Hotel. Later visit Vyas Cave, Ganesh Cave, Bhim Pul and the Origin of River Saraswati at Mana Village (last village before Tibetan border). After sightseeing go to Badrinath Temple for Holy Darshan / Pooja and attend Evening Aarti. Dinner & Overnight Stay at Hotel.

BADRINATH: Located between the Nar and Narayan Mountain Ranges, Badrinath is one of the holiest Char Dham Shrines situated on the left bank of River Alaknanda with the Neelkanth Peak as a beautiful backdrop. Earlier this place was covered with Badri (wild berries) and was known as Badri Van. According to legend, when River Ganga descended to Earth, its powerful flow was divided into 12 holy channels. Alaknanda River was one of them and later became the abode of Lord Vishnu (Badrinath).

NARAD KUND: A sacred pool in the Alaknanda River near Tapt Kund, from where the idol of Lord Badrinath was recovered.

BRAHMA KAPAL: A flat platform on the bank of River Alaknanda near the Temple. It is an important place for Shraddha rituals where devotees offer Pind for their ancestors to attain heavenly peace.

MANA VILLAGE: The last Indian village before Tibet, inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe. The women of the village offer Choli to the deity on the closing day of Badrinath Temple every year.

BHIM PUL: A massive natural rock bridge over the Saraswati River near Mana Village. It is believed that Bhim (one of the Pandava brothers) placed this rock bridge to help Draupadi cross the river.

DAY 09: BADRINATH – SRINAGAR (190Kms./05-06hrs drive)
